Launching a “cottage” type of business is a frantic, exhausting, uplifting, downright exciting time. Since we first hit the shelves two weeks ago, Mom’s team has been working to make our Salsa easier to find in and around Ottawa. We’re happy to report success — we’ve added two great stores to list of places where Mom’s is available.
During the past week we’ve added The Beckwith Kitchen in Carleton Place, and just this morning Mom’s Homemade Salsa went onto the shelves at The Piggy Market artisan delicatessen and craft butchers in Ottawa’s Westboro neighbourhood. If you’re interested in giving us a try, stop by and support these locally owned and operated businesses while you pick up a jar or two.
With all those purple-labelled jars heading out the doors, we took advantage of a sunny Saturday to head back to Merrickville to cook up a few more batches at Mrs. McGarrigle’s. That also gave us a chance to connect with a few more of you … while in the store kitchen we were offering free samples to all the shoppers.
We’ll be doing more samplings over the coming weeks … so check back soon. Oh, and one final thing … those recipes we’ve been promising? They’ll start to appear this week. Stay tuned…
