We’re off & running! Mom’s Homemade Salsa is on store shelves…
The wait is over. Mom’s Homemade has celebrated its official launch this weekend at Mrs. McGarrigle’s in Merrickville and the Ashton General Store Marketplace. You can now visit either of these two Ottawa-area stores and pick up a few jars to share with friends and family!
Mom spent Saturday at Mrs. McGarrigle’s for our first public tastings and the response was fantastic! We enjoyed meeting so many people, and want to thank those who made a special trip to Merrickville to support Mom and the gang.
Also thanks to the many folks who picked up a jar or two.
For those who are waiting for the Hot version to hit the shelves, we’ll keep you updated (see our earlier blog post about the lack of ghost peppers in Ottawa in the middle of winter). Once those ghost peppers are back in stock we’ll be cooking up a batch to join the Mild and Medium blends which are now available.
Over the next couple of days, watch for several recipe posts on these blog pages … and if you do give Mom’s a try, don’t be shy please leave us a comment to let us know what you think. We encourage lots of feedback from our fellow salsa lovers!
Finally, stay tuned for upcoming tastings, where you can try free samples of Mom’s and meet the folks behind Ottawa’s newest home foods business.
